The Center for Study of Corporate Sustainability (Instituto de Estudios para la Sustentabilidad Corporativa) has adhered to the UN Global Compact in April 2004. Previously, it participated -actively- in the so-called «Promoter Group», a group made up of different types of organisations to create the Global Compact in Argentina. He also participated -as a full member- of the Board of Directors of the Argentine Network of the UN Global Compact for two consecutive periods (2005-2006 and 2007-2008).
On the other hand, a task force of 50 world-renowned academics from the most important Business Schools of diverse backgrounds developed the PRME – Principles for Responsible Management Education. These Principles were presented to the business community at the Geneva Global Compact Leaders Summit on 5-6 July 2007 by the Secretary General of the United Nations at that time, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon. The Argentine Network of the Global Compact participated in this taskforce through the Institute of Studies for Corporate Sustainability, an institution that adhered to these principles in June 2008.
After 20 years of consecutive work, the Center for Study of Corporate Sustainability (Instituto de Estudios para la Sustentabilidad Corporativa) considers that -in both initiatives- it has completed a laborious stage in pursuit of true universal values.
